1. Purpose

The Assets Management Module catalogs physical equipment, heavy machinery, power tools, vehicles, and office furniture owned by or assigned to your projects.

2. How It Works

Each physical asset is registered with a unique Asset ID/Serial Number, purchase value, current condition status, warranty dates, and assigned project site location. As assets move between sites, their location and custodian logs update in real time.

3. How It Helps

  • Prevents Asset Loss & Theft: Keep an exact record of equipment locations and assigned caretakers.
  • Maintenance Schedule Tracking: Log maintenance history and receive alerts before warranties expire.
  • Valuation & Depreciation: View cumulative fixed asset values across all active work sites.

4. Step-by-Step Actions

A. How to Register a New Asset

Open Assets Module

Click Assets Management in the main menu.

Click Register Asset

Click + Register New Asset.

Enter Asset Details

Fill in Asset Name, Category (Heavy Machinery, Tools, Vehicles, Office), Serial Number, Purchase Price, and Purchase Date.

Assign Site Location & Save

Select assigned project site and custodian, then click Save Asset.

B. How to Edit Asset Details or Transfer Site Location

Locate Asset

Find the item in your asset directory and click Edit Details or Transfer Location.

Update Status & Location

Change asset condition (Operational, In Repair, Decommissioned) or select new project site.

Save

Click Update Asset Record.

C. How to Filter Assets

  • Category Filter: Filter by Vehicles, Heavy Machinery, Power Tools, etc.
  • Status Filter: View Operational, Maintenance Required, or Scrapped assets.
  • Project Location: Filter assets currently stationed at specific site locations.

D. How to Retire or Delete an Asset

Select Retire Option

Click Decommission / Retire Asset in the record options.

Record Salvage Value & Confirm

Enter disposal details or salvage sale value and click Confirm Retirement.
